Obituary of Susan Elizabeth Walsh
Mrs. Susan Elizabeth (Buchanan) Walsh was born in Baltimore, Maryland on May 27, 1953; She was the daughter of the late Ronald and Ada (Taylor) Buchanan.
In 1970, at the age of 17, Susan met James Stanley Walsh at ‘Young Peoples” in Norton. Jim used to tell the boys that he leaned over and asked Myrtle “Wonder who that girl is?” and the rest is history. A year later, Susan married the love of her life and would spend 40 wonderful years together.
Their love story would grow as they welcomed each of their boys. Family was so important to Susan – any moment spent with her boys and their families was time well spent for her. She was always waiting for the next family get-together.
Susan took great enjoyment in plastic canvas and painting classes, Bible study and playing cards; but her great passion was for travelling, especially if she could drive. She devoted her life to driving school bus and enjoyed every minute of it. She especially loved her trips with the family. They used to tease her that she made it all the way to Niagara without getting lost; but got lost in Fredericton on the way back.
Susan will live on in the hearts of her sons; Daniel and his fiancée Jacqueline Madore of Smiths Creek and John and his wife Elizabeth of Berwick; her daughter-in-law, Tammy Walsh of Smiths Creek; her grandchildren: Shamya, Devon, Destiny, Bianca, Taylor, Dylan, Savannah, Jaxson and Arliahna; her in-laws: Myrtle and her husband Ernie Nelson of Sussex Corner, Mike and his wife Lorraine Walsh of Hampton, Paul and his wife Sandra Walsh of Salt Springs, Margaret Marchbanks of Hampton, Fred and his wife Karen Walsh of Sussex, Sharon and Ralph Nelson of Sussex, Bill and Anna Walsh of Midland and Tommy and Janet Walsh of Hampton; her best friends: Jane Frits and Dorothy Westerberg; as well as several nieces and nephews.
