Obituary of Bernice Harris

It is with sadness that we announce the death of J. Bernice Harris which occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Wednesday, May 8, 2019, surrounded by her family.  She was born on January 20, 1934 in Saint Catharines, ON, a daughter of the late Welton and Hilda (MacDonald) Barron and wife of the late Reuben Harris.

She is survived by her children Wayne Harris (Marguerite) Smith’s Creek, Roben Anderson (Charles) Ward’s Creek, Jeff Harris (Heidi) Fawcett Hill. Grandchildren Ronda O’Donnell (Chris), Mark Anderson (Marjorie), Bethany Sutton (Larry), Naomi MacKay (Jordan), Lydia Harris, Louise Harris and 7 great grandchildren: Mathew and Owen O'Donnell, Iain Anderson, Collin, Charlie, Larah and Cooper Sutton; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her brothers Reginal, Gerald and Keith.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176). Visitation will be held from Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship, 33 Pine Street, Sussex on Monday, May 13, 2019 from 3-5 and 6-8pm.  Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at 2:00pm from Faith Bible Baptist Fellowship.   Interment will take place in Gosline Cemetery, Knightville.
