Obituary of Marcy Thomas

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marcia Ann Thomas, age 64, announce that she passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2019 at her residence.  She was born on April 25, 1955, the daughter of the late Russell and Vivian (Darling) Brown and the wife of Joe Thomas.

Marcy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who always put her family first. Her grandchildren were all that she could ever talk about and she always had her purse full of pictures of her beautiful children and grandchildren. She could hardly wait to get them out to show everyone. The only thing that might have held a close second to her family would have been her cats. She always made sure her house was full of them.

Marcy will be deeply missed by her loving husband Joe; daughters Michelle Thomas (Ryan Bittorf) of Red Deer, AB, Amanda (Shawn) McNeely of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren Jenna, Tanner, Kiva, Luca, Dylan, Wyatt; sisters Bev (George) Hawthorne, Debby (Mike) Whalen, Tracy Homan (Mark Pearson); brother Matthew Brown;  several nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Susan Smillie.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB.  A celebration of Marcy’s life will be held at Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, June 7, 2019 at 11:00am.
