Barb, Nancy and Peter...for a few years when I was very young I had the privilege to know all of you as we lived next door to each other. To say that you were the quietest, soft spoken family who showed so much love, is an understatement. In all the years since as we would run into each other, your smiling faces were always the same. I will always remember the fun times with Grampy. Making fishing rods to go fishing in the stream, helping and teaching me how to clean fish. Letting Matt and i run up and down the aisle of the bus parked at the house while we pretended to be on a trip somewhere. All the late night movies and popcorn on the couch during our weekend sleepovers. Letting us play hockey and throw the baseball around the basement and always coming to our sporting events no matter how far no matter the weather. Im glad he was able the see his new granddaughter before his passing he was greatly loved and will be sorely missed by all of us.

I loved having Alex as our bus driver through out my high school career. He had a lot of patience, and didn’t seem to mind waiting when the McLean girls were late for the bus. It was a long bus ride, too.

Our hearts are broken. Alex was a “brother” to Dad. They grew up together, worked together and travelled together. I don’t believe there was a child that went through Dad’s school that didn’t look up to Alex as a friendly giant. Alex was so kind and had the biggest heart. I remember going to the Queens County Fair in the fall and all the kids wanted to go on his bus because he would play the radio and lets us have fun. Our two families have shared laughs, love and now tears.
