Obituary of Effie Morton

Mrs. Effie Ruth Morton was born in Sussex on October 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Seymour Edward Brooks and the late Ida Olive (McCafferty) Brooks. Effie was the wife of the late Roy Earl Morton who passed away February 22 of this year. In her youth Effie was a Brownie Leader, she enjoyed artwork, gardening and reading. In most resent years her great love was for her great granddaughter Joyanna. Effie is survived by her son: Richard Morton (Beverley Blagden) of Rothesay, two daughters: Darlene Ramsay and her husband Raymond and Patricia Foster and her husband Sheldon all of Quispamsis; five grandchildren: Adam Morton and his wife Melissa of Edmonton Alberta, Brent Morton of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Joel Foster of the Annapolis Valley NS, Kaitlin Foster of Quispamsis, and Jennifer Ramsay of Kinston Peninsula, her great granddaughter, Joyanna; Her sister Edith Bell of London, as well as several nieces and nephews Effie is predeceased by her daughter, Heather Morton; as well as by by 6 brothers, Bobby, Carl, Ed, Oris and Gerald and Emery, 4 sisters, Leona James, Jean Bright, Bessie Berry and Queenie Brooks, her sister-in-law Ruby Brooks and her brother-in-laws, Curtis Bell and Bob Berry.
