I remember Phyllis with great affection - she was such a kind caring woman and always there for everyone. I remember visiting her home and walking around in her gardens, marvelling at what she had accomplished in that vast garden.
I marvelled at the strength of her character, at her ability to work hard all her life, to know that she stood side by side with her partner in life, George, never bending with the work she did, but always there, strong and secure in her abilities and her abiding love.
She will be well remembered. Gone but not forgotten. May God look after her soul.

Dear George and Family,
We are so very saddened to know of Phyllis' passing. We knew her as a kind and gentle spirit.
We have so many wonderful memories of our times spent at Mama George's, seeing you, George, around the room visiting and helping the staff, while we knew Phyllis was there, usually unseen, baking her delicious treats. We miss your presence greatly, but are so thankful that you both gave of your time and effort to make our community a better place.
Bob is very glad he had the opportunity to speak with you recently at the Health Center.

I first met this smiling lady as my neighbour - across the street many moons ago. She definitely inherited the love of work as her parents before (BEST BAKERS AROUND).
