Obituary of John Black

It is with great sadness that the family of the late John James Black announces his death which occurred on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB. Born in Lisson Settlement on December 8, 1938, he was the son of the late John and Laura (Geldart) Black.

John is survived by his loving children: Doug Black of Sussex, NB, John Black and his wife Shelly of Plumweseep, NB, Robert Black and his wife Tina of Sussex, NB, and Paul Black and his wife Debbie of Saint John, NB; daughter-in-law, Susan Black; grandchildren: Holly (Jason) O'Donnell, Michelle (Scott) Seymour, Melissa Black, DJ Black (Robin) Fanjoy, Danielle Black, Ashley Black and Paul Black; five great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, John was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Friars) Black; brothers: Allan and Maurice Black; and great granddaughter, Aidaen.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 from 12:00 to 2:00PM with the funeral service following at 2:00PM from Wallace Community Chapel, with Rev. Richard Vincent presiding.  Interment will be held in Kirk Hill Cemetery.
