Obituary of Lois McQuinn
Mrs. Marie Lois McQuinn was born in Urney, NB on October 5, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Walter and Theresa (McManus) Cotter and the loving wife for 64 years of Jarvis McQuinn.
She will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Mary Theresa McConchie and her husband Ken of Norton, Anne Blanchard and her husband Bob of Saint John, Margaret McQuinn Aiton and her husband Gene of Picadilly and Monica MacWilliam and her husband Peter of Fredericton; her son, Shaun McQuinn and Laura Araneda of Sussex Corner; her sister, Geraldine Reinders of Saint John; her brothers: Phelan Cotter and his wife Betty of Nova Scotia, Frank Cotter and his wife Mary Lou of Fredericton and Paul and his wife Judith of Ontario; her sisters-in-law, Betty Cotter of Sussex and Honey Cotter of Quispamsis; 17 grandchildren: Jane McConchie Payne and her husband Jeff, Joel McConchie and his wife Julie, John McConchie and his wife Joanna, Jake McConchie and Hilary Sharp, Tania McQuinn and Mike Doucet, Max McQuinn and Chelsey Goddard, Jackson McQuinn and Michaela Tremblay, Mitch McQuinn and Jill Veysey, Cassidy McQuinn, Nicholas Blanchard, Brandon Blanchard and Emily Bailey, Marcus Aiton and his wife Molly, Alex Aiton, Aidan MacWilliam, Erin MacWilliam, Kat Araneda, Alex Araneda, Lulu Araneda and Eva Araneda; 8 great grandchildren: MacKenzie, Lucas, Gracein, Adele, Connell, Caroline, Levi and Audrey; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. M. Lois McQuinn of Sussex passed away peacefully at her home with her family at her side on July 30, 2019 at the age of 91.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her stepmother, Mary (Hynes) Cotter; her brothers: Edward and John Cotter and by her nephew, John Cotter.
Arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 11:00am.
