Obituary of K. Earle Mallory

K. EARLE MALLORY

May 30, 1955 – August 2, 2019

K. Earle Mallory of Sussex, husband of Jane (Owens) Mallory, died at home on Friday, August 2, 2019.  Born in Saint John, he was the eldest son of the late Kenneth and Bernice (Watson) Mallory.

Earle retired in 2011 from NBTel/Bell Aliant, after a 34 year career, where he worked as a Linesman, Splicer, Network Technician and Residential Installer.  He loved his camp in Bayswater and finding projects to keep him there, as well as clearing trees at his friend’s camp. He thoroughly enjoyed his annual hunting and fishing trips with the same friends since his teens. Sports were a huge part of Earle’s life. He enjoyed being on many teams over the years including badminton, ball, archery, bowling and golf but to name a few. He brought a lot of laughter to all events with his good-hearted teasing.   Earle was a devoted family man attending his children’s many events over the years, being everyone’s biggest fan. Earle will be remembered by those who knew him for his huge laugh, generous nature and his endless kindness. He couldn’t do enough for his family, friends and neighbours. He has shovelled more snow, mowed more grass and moved more people than anyone!

In addition to his wife Jane, Earle is survived by his children, Jana Mallory (Ryan Mullin and his son Austin Hutchinson) of Hampton, Kate Mallory (Marc Goddard) and 7 month old Grandson Otto of Saint John, Chris Mallory of Fredericton, and Matt Mallory of Sussex;  siblings Barb Campbell (Bill) of Saint John, Joyce O’Donnell of Fredericton, Robert Mallory (Julie) of Petawawa, ON; his in-laws, Shirley Miller of Saint John, Dr. Thomas Owens (Thea) of Calgary, AB, David Owens (Anna) of Titusville, Carole Beaton (Mal) of Ottawa, ON, Michael Owens (Nancy) of Rothesay and Stephen Owens of Saint John; nieces and nephews, Ross (Dr. Joanah) Campbell and their children Monica and Myles, Lynn Campbell, Courtney Melvin (Dan), Brittney O’Donnell (Ryan), Rodney O’Donnell, Laura Comeau and her children Chase and Paige, Cory Miller (Penny) and their children Heath, and Madeline, Megan St-Aubin, Dr. Stephen Miller and his children Charlotte and Jack, Christine Hines (Brent) and their son Garrett, Tim Miller (Michelle) and their children Maya and Tommy, Dr. Tom Owens, Tiffany Owens, David Owens (Patty), Brian Owens (Shauna and her daughters Sydney and MacKenzie Hanratty), Ellen Hebert (Gerrard) and their children Ryan, Raven and Gavin), Will Beaton (Karine Marcoux) and their children Alex and Amelia, Gregory Owens (Marie) and their children Cloé, Zoey, and Liam, and Stepmother Kaye Mallory.

Earle was predeceased by his parents Bernice and Ken Mallory, parents-in-law Thomas and Grace Owens, his brother Roy Mallory, brother-in-law Hal Miller and nephew Graeme Owens.

Arrangements are entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
