Obituary of Elizabeth M Murphy

It is with sadness that the family of Elizabeth Marguerite Murphy, age 76, wife of Douglas Murphy, announces her death which occurred on Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Sussex Health Centre, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born on April 4, 1943, in Lower Millstream, NB, a daughter of the late William and Grace (Keirstead) Smith.

Elizabeth is survived by her husband of 56 years, Doug; her children: Angela Steeves (Bruce) of Sussex, NB, Kevin Murphy of Pearsonville, NB, Kendrick Murphy (Sherry) of Cornhill, NB, Alaine Murphy (Dave) of Lower Millstream, NB; grandchildren: Danielle (Mark), Anthony (Sam), Michael (Megan), Jacob; great-grandchildren: Brett Devine, Brooklyn Reeves; sister Evelyn Beaman; brother Murray Smith; sister-in-law Audrey Smith; brothers-in-law: Kenneth Wright, Donald Bartlett; several nieces and nephews.  Elizabeth was predeceased by her sisters Marjorie Forgrave, Violet Wright, Linda Bartlett; her brothers Merritt, Lloyd, James. Lawrence, Charlie W. and Charlie K.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176).  A Celebration of Elizabeth’s life will be held on Monday, August 12, 2019 at 2:00pm from Wallace Community Chapel. Interment will be held at Lester Cemetery.
