Obituary of Junior Thibodeau
Mr. Alfred “Junior” Johnson Thibodeau was born in McGivery Junction, NB on May 22, 1942; he was the son of the late Alfred and Lila (Peterson) Thibodeau.
Junior had a passion for music; especially his guitar and was known for his kind heart and quick wit. He loved to make people laugh and to tease and poke fun.
He worked as a mechanic for over 33 years, 21 of them with Canadian Tire.
Junior was a member of the Sussex Fish and Game, the Sussex Golf and Curling Club and a past member of the Salisbury Royal Canadian Legion.
He will live on in the hearts of his loving wife, Margaret “Peggy”; his sons: Jeff of Moncton and Trevor of Edmonton; his daughter, Tammy (Thibodeau) Boudreau of Sussex; his stepsons: Kirk Jardine (Heidi) of Sussex Corner and Bliss Jardine (Terry) of Sudbury, ON; his stepdaughter, Shelley Jardine- Perry and her husband Andrew of Salmon Creek; his brothers: Eric and his wife Bonnie of Fredericton, Clifford and his wife Mary of Keswick, Joey and his wife Theresa of Lincoln and Tony and his wife Colleen of Penniac; his sisters: Linda Connors and her husband Gene of Blackville and Debbie Gauvin of Moncton; his grandchildren: Joshua, Jordan, McKenzie, Tami, Tyler, Trish, Shane, Damon, Jeffery and Duane; his great grandchildren: Emily, Scarlet, Emily, Erin, Brooklynn and Bayen; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Alfred “Junior” Johnson Thibodeau of Smiths Creek passed away at the Sussex Health Center on August 21, 2019 at the age of 77.
He is predeceased by his sisters: Diane Murphy, Bonnie Brideau and Marie Graves and by his infant sister, Doreen.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 1-3 and 6-8pm. A Celebration of Junior’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 2:00pm.
