Obituary of Bob McMann

It is with sadness that we announce the death of Robert Austin McMann, age 72, of Wards Creek, NB which occurred on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  He was born on August 18, 1947 in Fredericton, NB, a son of Inez (Walker) McMann and the late Murray McMann.

Bob had a variety of interests.  He liked to golf, bowl, play cards, go for Sunday drives and he especially enjoyed playing scrabble with Granny.  He was also a fan of the Montreal Canadians and the New York Yankees.

Over the years Bob worked for Shur Gain, Canada Packers, the Department of Transportation and the Golf Club.

Bob is survived by his wife Lois Bunnell; son Barry (Susan) McMann of Sussex, NB; daughter Sherri (Dan) Hourihan of McGregor Brook, NB; grandchildren: Aaron, Kaitlyn, Seamus, Shelby, Molly, Jacob; great-grandchildren: Kylie, Abel; sister Verna (Clyde) Sands of Sussex Corner, NB; his furry friends, Antzee, Biscuit, BB and several nieces and nephews.  Besides his father, he was also predeceased by his brother Earl McMann and sister Gloria Morrison.  

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176).  A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held from Sussex Golf & Curling Club, 148 Picadilly Road on Monday, September 2, 2019 from 2 to 4PM.
