Obituary of Robert "Bob" Perry
Mr. Robert “Bob” James Perry was born in Sussex on October 11, 1960 to Ernest and Norma (Evans) Perry.
In his early teenage years, his family moved to Montreal. Although his family returned to New Brunswick, Bob stayed for a total of 30 years before returning to his roots. His time spent in Montreal molded him into the man he would become. He was a hard-working man and a jack of all trades. He was a bouncer for many years, and dabbled in driving truck, moving furniture and painting before he would settle down to his passion of renovation and carpentry. His hard work ethic was an inspiration to others who would choose to follow in his footsteps. It was a proud moment for Bob when he successfully became a registered self-employed business owner.
Bob loved to laugh and have fun and was quick with a joke. He had an infectious smile, was the life of the party and love to see people laugh. Bob had a passion for darts and loved to play cards and at the end of the day, he was a diehard Boston Bruins Fan.
He had a deep love and respect for his parents and siblings, and his children and grandchildren were very important in his life.
In September of 2009, Bob and Melissa would begin their love story and together they would celebrate that love for the next 10 years. They loved to travel and go for drives together.
He was a son, a soulmate, a father, a stepfather, a brother, a grandfather, uncle, cousin and best friend.
He was a man filled with light, laughter and love and he will be deeply missed by all those whose lives he has touched.
He will live on in the hearts of his spouse, Melissa Wood of Hunters Home; his parents: Ernest and Norma (Evans) Perry of Canaan Forks; his children: Jessica Perry of Fort McMurray and James Perry of Fort McMurray; his stepchildren: Robert Paterson and his wife Carrie of Wheaton Settlement, Nicholas Paterson and Sarah Terris of Hopewell Cape and Becca Paterson of Hunters Home; his siblings: Donnie Perry and his wife Iris of Canaan Forks, Jean Paterson and her husband Danny of Hunters Home, Joan Perry and Tim Lynch of Canaan Forks; Jack Perry and his wife Dianne of Canaan Forks, Kevin Perry and his wife Lori of Sundrie, Alberta, Brenda Rogers and her husband Chris of Coles Island, Terry Perry of Canaan Forks, Rocky Perry and his wife Joanne of Moncton and Shawn Perry and his wife Heather of Sundrie, Alberta; his grandchildren: Ellie and Oden; his step grandchildren: Daxton, Covin, Joshua and Journey; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
