Obituary of Kenneth Bruce Thompson

Mr. Kenneth Bruce Thompson was born in Corn Hill on June 20, 1935; he was the son of the late Bruce and Velma (Coates) Thompson and husband of the late Wanda (Blakeney) Thompson.

Ken had a soft spot for children and loved spending time with his family. He loved his animals and would never turn down a visitor or a chance to reminisce. If you were coming to visit you needed to bring pie, unless you were Jeannie and then it had to be her famous biscuits.

He loved to watch TV and listen to country music, but his favorite thing to do was attend to church and his weekly visits to Faith’s Kitchen.

Kenneth will live on in the hearts of his brother, Colin Thompson and his wife Kim of Petitcodiac and by his sister, Pearl Anderson of Riverview; his close nieces and nephews: McKenzie Brunette, Jamie White, Amanda Irving, Cheyenne Irving, Jean Alward, Don Crandall, Edward Anderson and his wife Linda, Debbie Eastwick and her husband Stephen, Chess Ryan and his wife Dorothy, Diane Forward, Linda Payne and her husband Donald and Bill Macdonald and his wife Lynn; as well as several other nieces and nephews and extended family members.

Mr. Kenneth Bruce Thompson of Smiths Creek passed away on December 8, 2019 at the age of 84.

Along with his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his brothers: Clarence, Blair and Robert MacDonald; his sisters: Jessie Ryan and Ruby Brooks and by his nephews: Doug Anderson, Emery MacDonald and Donald MacDonald.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176).

A Celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 1:00pm.
