Obituary of Dorothy Caunter

Beulah (Dorothy) Caunter peacefully went to her heavenly home on December 10, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Edwin and Alveretta McLean. Dorothy spent 54 loving years with her husband Gordon Harvey who passed away in 2001, she three years later met and married a wonderful man, Ellery Caunter who passed away 2008. 

Dorothy’s first love was her Lord and church. She will be long remembered for her great sense of humour and her genuine love for life. 

She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

She will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Diane Snow of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and Lois King  and her husband Timothy of Sussex, NB; her daughter-in-law, Sylvia Harvey of Head of Millstream; her step children: Stephen Caunter  and his wife Lynn of Ottawa, Ontario, Brian Caunter and his wife Lucie of Carleton Place, Ontario and Terry Caunter and his wife Dianne of Gatineau, Quebec; her grandchildren: Eben Cameron and his wife Tara, Nadeen Heare and her husband Ray, Cory Cameron and his wife Airalee, Melissa Perepelkin and her husband Andrew, Nicholas Snow and his wife Brianna, Sara Snow, Katie Snow-Chabot and her husband Ryan, Gordon Harvey and his wife April, Heather Harvey and her husband Serge Hebert, Becki Harvey and her husband Shaun Cormier; as well as several step grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her first husband, Gordon Harvey who passed away in 2001; her second husband, Ellery Caunter who passed away in 2008; her son, Gordon Harvey Jr. who passed away in 2015; her brothers: Charlie, George, Sheldon, Spurgeon, Levi, Angus and Otty McLean and by her sisters: Beatrice Gowan, Hazel Williams, Sylvia Crawford and Blanche Williams.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2019 from 3-5pm.

A Celebration of Dorothy’s life will be held from Sussex Wesleyan Church on Sunday, December 15, 2019 at 2:00pm.  Interment will take place in Evergreen Cemetery in the spring.
