Obituary of Violet Parlee
After a life well lived, Rachel “Violet” Parlee, age 99, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Mill Cove Nursing Home. Born in Coles Island, NB, on June 24, 1920, she was the wife of the late William Parlee and a daughter of the late William and Cyrena (Perry) Ryder.
Violet is survived by her daughters: Eileen Miller and her husband Bernard of Head of Millstream, NB, Verna Mason of Coles Island, NB; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Vernon Beach; son Leland Beach; son-in-law Malcolm Mason; daughter-in-law Lois Beach; sisters: Annie Matthews, Ada Fawcett, Elizabeth Chapman, Mary Beach; brothers: Erman, Manford, William, Wilmer, Daniel, Milton, and Millage.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from noon to 2pm. A Celebration of Violet’s life will be immediately following in Wallace Community Chapel. The interment will take place in Coles Island Cemetery in the spring.
