It is with sadness that we announce the death of Elsie Irene Viger, at the age of 88, which occurred peacefully on Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Sussex Health Centre. She was born on October 16, 1931 in Coles Island, NB, a daughter of the late Leigh and Evelyn (Perry) Sleep and the wife of the late George Viger. Elsie will live on in the hearts of her daughters: Betty Ann Viger of Summerside, Donna Viger of Ottawa; sons: Bobby of Hammond River, Randy of California; sisters: Kathryn (Archie) Peever, Joanie (Doug) Glew; grandchildren: Kimberley, Robert, Sheila, Suzanne, Daniel, Melanie; great grandchildren: Kyra, Meleah and Kayden; as well as several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by an infant sister Bertha, brothers Stanley, Lloyd and Ronald. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2020 from 4 to 7pm. Funeral service will be held from Coles Island United Baptist Church on Thursday, January 16, 2020 at 2:00pm.
