Obituary of Mary Ellen Tabor
Mrs. Mary Ellen Tabor was born in Plumweseep on December 23, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Harry and Ethel (Wheaton) Cummings.
Mary went to school in Plumweseep and graduated from Sussex High School in 1960. The following year, she would marry the love of her life, Warren and they would spend 58 years together.
Mary worked as a waitress at the Blue Bird Motel for eight years, as well as the Cassidy Lake Mines for seven years; her favorite job was raising her two wonderful children. She had a deep love for her grandkids and her pets.
She loved the outdoors, from snowmobiling in her younger years, to four wheeling, camping and of course gardening. She also enjoyed sewing.
She will live on in the hearts of her loving husband, Warren of Hillsdale; their children: Junior Tabor (Lisa) and Patty McLean (Wellington) all of Hammondvale; her grandchildren: Miranda McShane (Travis) and Tyler McLean (Kaylee); her great grandchildren: Peyton, Lydia and Colt; her sister, Catherine Cummings; her brother, Joseph Cummings both of Plumweseep; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Mary Ellen Tabor of Sussex formerly of Hillsdale passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on March 10, 2020 at the age of 80.
Along with her parents, she is predeceased by her brothers: Fred, Ernest and John Cummings; her sister, Isabella Tabor and by her cat, Jessie which sadly passed away not long after Mary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2020 from 1-3 and 6-8pm.
There will be a celebration of Mary’s life from Wallace Community Chapel on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 11:00am.
