Verna: Clyde was one of the best and he loved you to the moon and back! Will never forget the summer afternoons enjoying the quiet and hearing only the birds when all of a sudden the mower would start. It was Clyde! It never failed and that mowing sound will be missed! Savannah will miss him too. Clyde enjoyed her presence back and forth under the trees and just talking to her. Many memories to cherish :-)

Dear Verna,
Sunday morning church has lost a shining light. We always knew what time it was by Clyde's Toronto Maple Leaf watch. Who is going to give me cough drops if I need them or not? The world is a sad and dark place right now but you are wrapped in love by so many people and the day will come when your memories will bring a smile instead of a tear.
God bless you and give you peace.

Clyde was the epitome of a “gentleman”, always caring, loving and supportive. I have so many fond memories, particularly of our family get togethers at Belleisle; listening to Clyde’s jokes, playing cards, horseshoes, eating, singing and dancing to “Who Let the Dogs Out”, more eating, and rum! As well as great food, lots of unconditional love and laughter was always on the menu.
Sincerest condolences to you Verna and Mark as well as to Rhona and Rona and their families.
I will miss you my very special cousin.
Love forever,
Kathryn

We met Clyde when we started trailering at Pirates Cove. I used to keep my paddle boat secured to a tree on your beach on the Belleisle Bay. We loved the coffee club group at the canteen every evening, where Clyde always kept us laughing with his stories. I loved the one where he said he was writing a book, titled "As the Bay Boils." He was a very kind & friendly guy. Our deepest condolences to you, Verna & your family. Sincerely, Donna & Oscar Mason
