Jules, myself and our children have very happy memories of Uncle Ron. Starting from visits to the Highfield homestead to fish in the pond with the kids, Jules hunting with him and Dad in the fall to visits just to sit and chat under the tree in the shade. When he left the farm we stopped in every chance we got when we were visiting Dad and Mom. He was a wonderful man who always asked about the children and grandkids. We will certainly miss his hugs and smiles. I’m sure he is taking Aunt Edna to a dance on Saturday night. Our heartfelt condolences to Ruth-Ann, Kevin and boys as well as Hedley, Bev and girls.

To Mabel, Ruth Ann, Hedley and families
It is very sad to have Ron leave us. He always had a great smile and a hug for all. Greg Haley and I are so thankful for Ron's sharing of the history of English Settlement when we were researching during the past 12 years. I was able to bring a Pearson relative, Steve Pearson, from the US, to meet Ron and listen to the stories that only Ron could share so well. Ron has gone to be with all his Pearson ancestors, his family, Edna, and many friends. It was a long trip from Wigton, Cumberland County, England, back in 1823 for his ggggrandparents to emigrate first to Saint John and then on to Apohaqui where the family home was built. The sons then moved on to English Settlement Kings and Queens where they purchased land grants to raise their families and farm. In 1929 Ronald George Pearson was born in the then Highfield (English Settlement Queens) along with 5 brothers and 2 sisters. After a long and interesting life among us, Ron will rest in the Anglican Cemetery in Highfield with Edna and many of his Pearson ancestors. Ron will be missed by so many of us, but his stories will live on.
