Kerry was my adopted family's accountant and became my tax advisor until I left Sussex due to a career move.I always loved to bump into him around Town so we could share a story and a laugh. My family(Stephenson) settled here before confederation but there were no better Canadian citizens or Town of Sussex residents than Kery , his( well liked father)Tom and their Dutch immigrant friends!

Our church family has experienced many losses this past year, and Karst will certainly be missed. Before covid-19 arrived, he would make it to services - often the last to arrive and out-of-breath, but always with his big smile. Ask him about Ann and Helena, Carrie and Shelley and his face would always light up and he loved to talk about his girls and their families and work, as any proud father would. Going back decades, I so admired this father who brought his 3 beautiful girls to church each week and gave mom a little time to be on her own. It is wonderful that everyone could be with him in his final days, and I can only imagine his smiles as he was surrounded by all that love! Thinking all of Karst's family during this sad time, but knowing that all of you will have the best of memories to cherish and a love that will stay with you forever.

I was saddened and shocked to hear of Karey's passing. He was a great man to work for. I have missed seeing him at church. I usually was able to chat with him each week and hearing about his "Girls". He really enjoyed when I asked about them and their children. He always had a smile and a joke to pass along to anyone he met. It was always a pleasure to chat with him. He leaves memories for many people and he will be greatly missed.
