It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Susan Wilcox, age 70, which occurred on Friday, October 30, 2020, at the Sussex Health Centre. She was born in Saint John, NB, on April 7, 1950, wife of the late Murray Wilcox and daughter of the late Henry and Clara (Nolan) Frits. Shirley is survived by her daughters: Kandi Carhart and her husband Mark of Carsonville, NB, Krista King and her husband Peter of Norton, NB; grandchildren: Cameron Carhart (Carrie Douglas), Clara Carhart, Amelia King, Brooklynne King, Jarvis King; sister Marjorie Goddard; brothers: Art (Sally) Frits, Donnie (Barb) Frits, Dave (Chris) Frits; the family of the late Werner Riedel, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Murray, Shirley was also predeceased by her companion Werner Riedel; brothers Bill Frits, Stan Frits; brother-in-law Russel Goddard; sister-in-law Faye Frits and niece Ann-Marie Frits. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506) 433-1176, from where visitation will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 from 4 to 7pm. The Funeral Service will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 11:00am. Due to Covid-19 seats are limited. We ask that you contact the funeral home to reserve a seat.
