Obituary of Karen Craft
Karen Craft was born in Sussex on December 25, 1961; she was the daughter of the late Walter and Lois (Hodgin) Mitton.
Karen started work at the age of fifteen at Dave's Restaurant. Karen was attending school the same time as trying to work. She did manage to make friends during this busy time as this is the same time that she met Blake.
As a child, Karen was known as the bully, having not only girls afraid of her, but the boys as well. She was your typical teenager, playing basketball in high school and wearing makeup to hide her freckles.
While she and Blake lived in Sussex, they had Tracey and once they moved to Salmon Creek, Shanna came along and last but not least, Justin. Family was everything to Karen and she loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world. She was a former employee of McCready's and then went on to work for Barbour Foods. Karen worked in Home Care for over 15years, not only with regular clients but also people in the community. Karen was known as the Queen of Salmon Creek". She loved country music, Tim Horton's coffee which was always an extra large, two cream and no sugar, a great joke and her dog Homer. Karen was the only person that was able to get Homer to come inside so he is going to miss Karen very much as well. Karen was a person who was much more comfortable to give than to receive.
She was a loyal, kind and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Sister-in-law and Aunt
Karen will live on in the hearts of her husband Blake, her children: Tracy Craft of Fort McMurray, Shanna Craft of Sussex and Justin Craft of Fredericton; her grand-children: Wyatt and Dakota Hatt; her brother: Kevin Mitton and his wife MaryAnne of Sussex, her sister, Cindy Mitton and Debbie Allen of Quispamsis; her mother-in-law, Christina Craft of Bald Hill, her sister-in-law, Donna Bowie and her husband Billy of Norton and her brother-in-law Richard Craft, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Karen was predeceased by her mother Lois (Hodgin) Mitton in 2004, her father Walter Mitton in 2009, her brother-in-law David Craft and her father-in-law Myles Craft.
Mrs. Karen Stella Craft of Salmon Creek Rd. Codys passed away at her home on July 6, 2010 at the age of 48.
