Obituary of Jill Crosby
Jill Sarah Fellows was born in Wolverhampton, England on the 3rd day of October in 1955.
Not an only child, she had three sisters: Linda, Julie and Mary. At the tender age of 22, Jill Fellows left England for Canada but did not leave behind the love she had for her sisters and parents, Brenda and Noel. She began to work at the Nova Scotia Savings and Loan in Saint John, NB. This is where she met her future husband and the love of her life, Allan.
They were soon engaged and on the 13th of May 1978 were married. Not soon after Jill and Allan had there first child, Gregory whom she loved and card for with all of her heart. In 1985, Jill was then blessed again with her second, this time a beautiful daughter, Katherine. Jill Sarah Crosby then grew into the greatest mother these children could ever imagine.
Her heart always filled with love and kindness towards other people. When Jill Crosby began working for the Toronto Dominion Bank she gained not only a more desired workplace, also the greatest friendships she could ever dream of. She would talk of these friendships that she made over the years with delight and regret of leaving some behind. She was very active within the community and wanted only the best of herself and the people around her. She sat on the board of directors for the Kiwanis Nursing Home and was very proud of her accomplishments.
Jill Crosby worked so hard and when she put her mind to something she was going to make it happen. From day one, where Jill started out as a teller at Nova Scotia Savings and Loan, she worked and studied so hard for promotions within her Bank, a loving mother and wife, a fantastic friend, a caring soul. She had died on Monday, the 21st of June 2010 peacefully in her bed at the Sussex Health Centre, not alone but with her loving daughter, Katie, sister-in-law, Sandra Hawkins and her niece Keltie Hawkins beside her.
However, all of her remaining family's thoughts were with her. If afterwards she was asked how she felt about her life, Jill would be modest and would say she is thankful and blessed for the people she had in her life.
Jill will live on in the hearts of her parents: Noel and Brenda (Ovenden) Fellows, Allan her beloved husband of 32 years, her son Greg Crosby and his wife Anna, Katherine Crosby and Archie Rankin; her granddaughter Isabella; three sisters: Julie Dunn and her husband David, Linda Guthrie and her husband Bernard, Mary Austin and her husband Rob, her sister-in-law Sandra Hawkins and her husband Frank, her brother-in-law: Steven Crosby, her parents-in-law: Donald and Freda Crosby, her nieces and nephews: Elizabeth and Matthew Dunn, William, James and Isabelle Guthrie, Alex and Gregory Austin, Keltie, Adam and Derek Hawkins, Jenny Crosby-Denny and Dave and the girls at TD Bank.
