Mrs. Barbara Allaby was born in Head of Millstream on November 3, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Hazen and Della (Steen) Wright. Barbara worked as a custodian for School District 6 in the Sussex Junior High. Barbara is survived by her beloved husband, Doug Allaby; three sons: Mitchell of Sussex, Eric and Joanne Munroe of Manitoba and John of Sussex; two daughters: Irma McLaughlin and her husband Mike of Sussex and Marsha Rasmussen and her husband Mike of Inverness, NS; two sisters: Elizabeth Trites and her husband Gerald of Berwick, Darlene Mott and her husband Bev of Sussex Corner, two brothers: Kenneth Wright and his wife Barb of Roachville and Malcolm Wright of Penobsquis; her sister-in-law, Violet Wright of Halifax; five grandchildren: Amy McLaughlin, Greg, Dale, Becky and Dhawn Allaby; three step grandchildren: Adam, Mark, and Scott; eight great grandhildren: Riley, Isabelle, Brayden, Vannessa, Chelsea, Yasmin, Joseph and Marley; as well as several step brothers, step sisters; nieces and nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her son Ken in 1999, her grandson Patrick in 2008, two brothers: Lloyd Wright and Esley Wright; her step mother, Leota Wright in 2000 and step-sister, Audrey Wright in 1989.
