Obituary of Michael Baldwin

Michael was born in Fredericton on April 21, 1993. As he grew and became stronger, he developed into a very happy and engaging little boy. Michael was a gift given by God. He was unconditional, always loving and never asking for anything in return, he couldn't speak but he was easy to understand. He was a real charmer with those big brown eyes, his smiles could melt your heart and his screams could make your hair curl. Michael loved to be read and talked to, the hot tub, school trips, sock hops at Devon Middle School, popsicles, his soother, music, including "Great Big Sea" and even some opera, he loved to kick his tambourine and rap out a beat with his feet on the hardwood floor. He enjoyed watching the news with Norma, and as soon as it started, the contest began to see who could snore the loudest. He had many friends and everyone enjoyed being around him. Through his school years at South Devon Middle School and now Leo Hayes, many amazing people have been involved in his life. He will live on in the hearts of his Mom, Susan (Irvine) Baldwin and Owen Dickie and his dad, Nick Baldwin and Una Thorne; his brothers: Nicholas and Geoffrey all of Fredericton; his maternal grandparents: Bev and Dianne Irvine of Cardigan, NB and Muriel and Don Murphy of Minto, NB; his paternal grandmother, Jessie Baldwin of Berwick, NB; his uncles: Rick Irvine and his wife Sandra of Bolivia, John and his wife Beverley of Chrysler, ON., Curtis and his wife Diane of Rothesay and Steve and his wife Barb of Sussex; his aunts: Ann Baldwin and Wes Hart of Saint John and Margaret Baldwin of Campbelton; several cousins and great aunts and uncles; Michael will never be forgotten by his loving caregivers: Heidi Mott, Norma Sherwood and Ann and Chris Savage; as well as his many friends and teacher's assistants at Leo Hayes High School. It is with heavy hearts we announce the death of our son, Michael Roy Baldwin of Fredericton who passed away at the Dr. Everett Chalmer's Hospital on June 2, 2010 at the age of 17. Michael was predeceased by his paternal grandfather Nicholas Baldwin who passed away November 24th, 1984, by his aunt MaryEllen (Tobin) Baldwin who passed away on June 2, 1996, and by his maternal great grandparents Roy and Carrie Lunney. As Michael's love has grown in our hearts plant these seeds to grow in the heart of your garden in his memory.
