Brenda Burgess was born in Sussex on December 4th 1949; the daughter of the late Gordon Steeves of Elgin and Elma (Dole) Steeves Rogers of Waterford. Brenda graduated from Sussex High School in 1967and later that year she continued her education at UNB in Fredericton and then moved to Calgary where her son Sean was born in 1968. She attended the University of Calgary and later moved to Dartmouth in 1972. In 1978 she began studies at Mount St. Vincent University beginning with clothing design and continuing with Office Administration until 1982. She then moved to Halifax and began her 26 year career with Mills Brothers Ltd on Spring Garden Rd. where she retired in 2008 as Office Manager. In 2007, she and Bryan began making plans to move back to New Brunswick and in September last year they moved to Fredericton where Brenda planned to be the personal assistant to Bryan in his Real Estate career.
