Hector Standing was born in North Sydney on November 21, 1929; he was the son of the late Arthur and Alice Standing. He was retired from Hector Standing Fishing Distributors. He was a former member of the Sussex Lions Club and was loved and respected by the entire Club. He and May loved to dance and they made the night fun for everyone. He was also Past Master of Zion Lodge # 21 F&AM. Hector is survived by his wife May, his daughter Sandra Westwick and her husband Jim of Palentino, IL; four sons: Arthur and his wife Pat of New Maryland, Hector and his wife Shelley of Toronto, Kevin and his wife Tina of Saint John, Paul and his wife Joel of Fredericton, as well as several brothers and sisters, grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins: Hector was predeceased by his son, Wayne David. Mr. Hector Philip Standing of Loch Lomond Rd, Saint John passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on April 22, 2010 at the age of 80.
