Obituary of Bradley James Slocum

Bradley was born in Saint John, NB on November 17, 1988 and was the son of Debbie Slocum and Wade Weaver. Brad attended school at Cambridge Narrows and made many friendships while there. Brad loved anything that involved him being outdoors whether it was hunting, fishing or four wheeling. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, playing xbox or sports. Brad installed flooring and was employed by Hunter's Flooring. He was also a member of the Grand Washademoak Lions Club. Brad was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, cousin and friend who will be forever loved and remembered. Brad will be lovingly remembered by his mother Debbie Slocum and Mike Chown of Berwick; his father Wade Weaver of Cumberland Bay; his sister Katie Slocum of Berwick; step-sister Tara-Lee Beck of Saint John; step brothers Brandon and Devon Chown of Berwick; his maternal grandmother Mary (Nairn) Slocum of Union Settlement; his paternal grandmother: Pearl Weaver of Millcove; his aunts and uncles: Christine Morton and her husband Daryl of Rothesay, Wendy Reese of Quispamsis, Elaine Vincent and her husband Eric of Quispamsis, Daryl and his wife Marlene of Bagdad, Gerald and his wife Judi of Chipman, Brian and his wife Linda of Union Settlement, Ida Smith, John Weaver and his wife Judy, Ruth Wright and her husband Glen, Fred Weaver and Mark Weaver, all of Cumberland Bay as well as several cousins and the many friends he made throughout his life. Bradley James Slocum of Fredericton and formerly of Cambridge Narrows passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the age of 23.Brad was predeceased by his maternal grandfather Clifford Slocum who passed away in 2006, his paternal grandfather, Moses Weaver in 1976, his uncle Leonard Weaver in 2001 and by his step brother, Daniel Beck in 2010. Bradley James Slocum of Fredericton and formerly of Cambridge Narrows passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the age of 23. Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176) from where visitation will be held on Sunday, May 27th from 1-5pm. A celebration of Brad's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 11:00am. The interment will take place in St. Luke's Cemetery.
