Obituary of Ralph Robinson
Mr. Ralph Wallace Robert Robinson was born in Sussex on June 11, 1943, he was the son of the late Alexander and Viviane (Wallace) Robinson and was the husband of the late Edith (Hayward) Robinson who passed away in 2003.
Ralph graduated from Hugh John Flemming school in Fredericton and worked as a Forest Ranger in the province of Ontario for several years before returning home. He then worked at several jobs such as: a cook on a boat, a woodsman, a driller for Longyear, operator in Sussex Sawmill and a shift supervisor for PCS in Penobsquis where he worked for 31 years.
Ralph was neither a hunter or a fisherman and would rather sit and enjoy nature's creatures in their own environment. He loved to read biography's, current events and anything related to politics. He liked to travel along the Fundy Coast and the New England States but his heart was always at home. If you couldn't find him, just look in the backyard and you would see him working away either mowing, trimming or starting a new project. Most of his projects were always done by hard labour with a scorn toward equipment. Whether a planter, footing or walls, all were done by his own hands. Time was not an issue and some projects lay dormant until he thought them through, but he finished them all with a slight smile of accomplishment.
People who knew Ralph would remember his grin and his positive attitude, his ability to tease but in a tasteful manner, his shy hello with a nod of his head and a smile, and his laughter with squinted eyes that would make even a stranger laugh. He was a humble man with a gentle personality that is hard to describe and a deep respect for others. Ralph was a good man and will be missed by all who knew him.
Ralph is survived by his special friend, Leona McLong; two sons: Robert and his wife Roxanne of Corn Hill and Jeff of Wards Creek; two brothers: Jack and his partner Gladys Urhmann of Sussex and Jimmy and his wife Lara of Sussex Corner; three grandchildren: Cody Northrup, Kaleb Robinson and Liam Robinson; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Ralph Wallace Robert Robinson of Wards Creek, passed away at his residence on March 21, 2010 at the age of 66.
