Obituary of Lloyd Almon
Mr. Lloyd "Bud" Everette Almon of Knightville Rd. Knightville passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on March 21, 2010 at the age of 71.
Bud Almon was born in Mt. Pisgah on March 26, 1938, he was the son of the late Sanford H. and Mary B. Anderson Almon and the husband of the late Shirley Irene (Richardson) Almon who passed away in 2006.
Bud drove truck for 15 years; then moving on to building dairy barns. He enjoyed farming, and even had a hobby farm of his own; he also cut wood his whole life. He enjoyed four wheeling, scratch tickets, fishing with his father-in-law, Warren, going to the cattle sale every Wednesday and hunting and shooting the deer when they were on the run. Bud loved playing cards and more than anything he liked to win any way he could; like maybe throwing cards on the floor, in his pocket or up his sleeve. He loved everybody, especially; his wife, Shirley, his dog, Buddy and his children, whom he talked to everyday.
Bud is survived by two daughters: Debbie Melvin and her husband Myles of Newtown, Barb Tanguay and her husband Mario of Sussex; two sons: Bryant Almon and Cindy Wood, Jack Almon and his wife Pam all of Knightville; two sisters: Louise Howe and her husband Ronald of Smith Creek, Jane Wood and her husband Richard of Sussex; three brothers: Douglas of Sussex, Ralph and his wife Karen, Clifford and by his sister in law Joanne Almon all of Knightville; six grandchildren: Steven, Tracey, Melissa, Jessica, Jacqueline and Rebecca; his special friend, Leta Welton; five great grandchildren: Tyrel, Daniel, Austin, Conner and Travis; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Bud was predeceased by his brothers: Tom and Bryant, his sister-in-law, Linda and his great grandson Alec.
