Obituary of Claudette Catherine McCrea
Claudette was born in Dartmouth on November 6, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Theresa (Tynes) Miller.
Claudette loved to knit, play Skipbo and Animal Rescue League Bingo. In her younger years she loved music and dancing.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Claudette will continue to live on in the hearts of her three daughters: Annette Carhart and her husband Andrew of Sussex, Terri McCrea and Bob Chevarie of Rothesay and Tanya McCrea and Brett Laye of Alberta, her granddaughter Corinna McCrea and Andrew Pond; her brother-in-law, Rick and his wife Edith of Collina Corner; her sister-in-law, Melissa Smith of Sussex Corner; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the father of her children, James McCrea.
Mrs. Claudette Catherine McCrea with great courage and dignity passed away on May 6, 2012 at the age of 65 with her three girls and close friends at her side. She is predeceased by her special friend, Bob Wortman.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176), where visitation will be held on Wednesday 1-3 and 6-8pm.
A celebration of Claudette's life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Thursday, May 10, 2012 at 10:00am. The interment will take place at Goshen Anglican Cemetery.
Donations made to the Diabetic Society, Kidney or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
