Eva was born in Marrtown, NB on September 4, 1911; she was the daughter of the late Thomas Willie and Effie (McKnight) Birney. She was a secretary for over 52 years, moving to Arlington, Massachusetts in 1955 where her parents stayed with her until the time of their passing. There she was employed for many years by Simplex Wire and Cable in Cambridge. At time of retirement she worked for Jeremiah Sullivan also in Cambridge. Miss Eva Lavina Birney of Park Avenue Nursing and Rehab Centre, Arlington, Mass formerly of Cambridge, Mass. passed away at her residence on October 8 2009 at the age of 98.
