Theresa was born in Sussex on December 24, 1929; she was the daughter of the late Albert and Elizabeth (Hourihan) Whitters and the wife of the late Frank Connors who passed away December 3, 2008. Theresa graduated from Sussex Composite High School in 1948. The following year, she took a Commercial training course and was employed as a secretary with McAlary's Insurance and later the Bank of Nova Scotia. On September 15, 1956, she married Frank Connors whom she shared her life for 52 years. With the addition of their daughter, Cathy and their son Phillip to their family in the early 1960's, Theresa remained at home to lovingly raise and nurture their chosen children. Theresa returned to the workforce in the 1980's as a clerk at the Metropolitan Store, where she remained until her retirement.
