Obituary of Wayne F. Anderson
It is with much sorrow and sadness the family of Wayne Fletcher Anderson, Apohaqui, NB announce his passing on Friday, November 27, 2020. Wayne was the son of the late Fletcher and Melba (Mason) Anderson.
Wayne had a genuine, gentle soul and was a caring loving man. Wayne will be forever and dearly missed by his friend, loving and devoted wife of 36 years, Carol Ann (Liddle); step-children: Anthony “Tony” Burton Hetherington (Trudy) of Hanwell, NB, Tina Lynn (Hetherington) Merriam (Lynn) of Sussex, NB; his step-grandchildren: Ryan Hetherington, Caroline (Merriam) Paquin (Luc) and Natalie Merriam; his sisters: Barbara Singh (Yogi) of Cole Harbour, NS and Jennifer Kaye (Doug) of Smith Creek, NB; his sister-in-law: Brenda Graham Brown (Jim) of Sussex, NB, Wilhelmina Arthurs (Barry) of Carter’s Point, NB and Barbara Liddle of Fredericton, NB; his brother-in-law Fred Liddle (Harriet) of Penobsquis, NB; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Wayne will be missed by all who had the opportunity to know him. Aside from his parents, Wayne was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Tom Liddle.
Wayne served with the Royal Canadian Air Force, Transport trade retiring in 1992. He then served with the Corp of Commissionaires until retiring in 2015 because of cancer, Multiple Myeloma. Wayne faced this challenge with courage, never losing his positive outlook. Wayne was also a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #20.
Wayne had a passion for everything outdoors, hunting, fishing and he cherished the trips to Miller Brook Camp, especially the good ol’ days shared with his father, grandfathers, uncles, cousins and friends of the past and present years.
As per Wayne’s wishes there will be no visitation or a funeral.
