Mrs. Mary Agatha Leland was born in Woodstock on August 22, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Elwood and Josephine (Cunningham) MacKay. Mary graduated from Woodstock High School and continued her education at the New Brunswick Teacher's College in Fredericton. Throughout her teaching career, Mary taught in St. Stephen, Woodstock and Sussex where she retired. Mary was a member of the New Brunswick Retired Teacher's Association and St. Francis Xavier Roman Catholic Church. Mary is survived by her son, Michael and his wife Kim of Moncton, her sister, Anne Hicks and her husband Neville of Erin, Ontario, two grandchildren: Jason and Rachel and by two nieces: Angela and Stacy.
