Obituary of Paula Christine Dyer
Ms. Paula Christine Dyer was born in Sussex, NB on May 6, 1963. She was the daughter of Elsie (Gregg) Dyer and the late James Dyer.
Before the age of one, Paula found herself as a resident of Brampton, Ontario. She would later graduate from JA Turner High School in Brampton and then go on to work as a supervisor for a packaging plant.
In the late 90’s, Paula would return to her roots and find herself back in Smiths Creek, NB, working in the family business. In 2003, their family was hit hard with the passing of her dad, Jimmy and the ladies of the Dyer’s family rallied and upon Elsie’s retirement, Paula and Melissa became the proud co-owners of Dyer’s Lawn and Cemetery Care Ltd.
She loved watching the Voice and Grey’s Anatomy and had an unwavering love for Tim McGraw. She once made a road trip to Florida and tons of places in between with Melissa riding shotgun. They spent the entire drive, all two weeks of it, listening to nothing but Tim McGraw on repeat.
Paula was a force to be reckoned with. She was stubborn and sometimes a little gruff, and you can bet she was strong-willed and never a pushover. She loved with every ounce of her being and without fault. She would give anyone the shirt off her back and had a wonderful sense of humor.
She will live on in the hearts of her mother, Elsie Dyer (Daryl Belding); her sister, Melissa Dyer; her brother, James Dyer (Heather); her nieces and nephews: Paige, Everet, Austen and Olivia; her dog, Sassy; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Ms. Paula Christine Dyer of Smiths Creek passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on December 14, 2020 at the age of 57.
Along with her dad, she is predeceased by her brother, Glenn
