Obituary of Arnold Kaye

Mr. Arnold Irvine Kaye was born in Pollett River, Westmorland Co. on December 10, 1928, he was the son of the late Roland and Jean (Scamble) Kaye and was the husband of the late Vera Delores (Beck) (Veysey) Kaye who passed away in 1990. Arnold lived most of his life in Penobsquis until the time he married his long time friend Vera Veysey. Together they set up one of the first Lotto booths in town, from there they expanded their entrepreneurship by buying and running McGivery's Grocery on St. George Street, until the time of their retirement. They moved from the store to Sussex Corner till Vera's passing. Arnold then moved to Five Points and later to Moncton, before coming home to live out his remaining years with his life long friend and brother Vaughn. He enjoyed his step-grandchildren especially while they were young. Never having children of his own they were undoubtedly the apples of his eye.
