Obituary of Flora Geraldine Northrup

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Flora Geraldine (Boyd) Northrup on January 11, 2021 at the Sussex Health Centre. Flora was the wife of the late Ernest Harry Northrup.

Daughter of the late Wilmot and Ida Maude (Kincade) Boyd. She was born on December 11, 1922 in Salmon Creek, Queens County and lived all her married life in Long Creek.

Flora loved to stay busy and was extremely talented in everything she did. She had a passion for sewing, quilting, and cooking and loved to play dominos in her later years.

She is survived by her son, George (Susan) Northrup of Cody's and her daughters: Sandra Hemming of Toronto, and Carol Price of Saint John; her daughters-in-law: Patricia Vaughan and Bonnie Northrup; her grandchildren: Todd (Tracey) Baird, Daniel (Michelle) Baird, Adam Secord, Heidi (Jeff) Semple, Matthew Hemming, Kelli (Tom) Northrup and Darci (Megan) Northrup; great grandchildren Christopher, Sarah, Kennedy, Kaedy, Kasey, Paige, Hannah, Cameron, Riley and Jacob; her sister-in-law, Ethel Boyd; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Betty Ann (Frank) Welton; her son, William (Bill) Northrup; her sons-in-law, Rev. Harold Price and Norman Baird; her brothers: Merton Boyd (Bertie) and Norman Boyd and by her sisters: Lillian Noddin and Eleanor (Raymond) Belyea.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB (506-433-1176). Due to Covid-19, the celebration of Flora`s life will be held by invitation only. Viewing her service will be available on Saturday, January 16, 2021 at 11:00am by using the Celebration of Life Button in the sidebar of her online obituary page.
