Obituary of Gordon Stilwell
Gordon Stilwell was born in Union Settlement on November 12, 1920; he was the son of the late Blair and Gladys (Fanjoy) Stilwell. Gordon enlisted in the Canadian Army in 1939 and overseas during all of WWII, stationed in Holland, Italy and France. He married Thelma Kincade, in 1949 and in 1953, they moved to Saint John and Gordon began work at the Sugar refinery Maintenance Department, He later relocated to the University of New Brunswick from where he retired in 1986. Gordon enjoyed deer and moose hunting, horseshoes, and playing his fiddle, which he was inducted in the Music Hall of Fame for.
