Obituary of Ruth Emily Allen

It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Ruth Emily Allen, wife of the late Donald Allen, which occurred on Sunday, April 25, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  Ruth was born on December 18, 1937, a loving daughter to the late William and Lyla (Outhouse) Cross. 

She was a loving mother to and survived by her daughter Gillian Allen (Donald Moore) of Halifax, NS, her son Ian (Alicia) Allen of Quispamsis, NB; her cherished grandson Tyler; her best friend Jack Smith; sisters-in-law Frances (David) Todd and Pauline Cartier; several beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides her parents and husband Judge Donald Allen, she was predeceased by her brother Paul Cross and her dog Sam.   

She loved her "coffee" and "lunch" groups. Her supporters, Sharon Loder, Sharon Hayward, Margaret Porter, Lynn Floyd and Alicia McEwen and her cat, Baby Boy, gave her an unsurpassed quality of life.  We’ll miss you mom. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home (506-433-1176), 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, NB.  A private funeral will be held.
