Obituary of Mabel MacDonald

Mrs. Mabel (Hudson) MacDonald was born in Truro on July 4, 1961; she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Jean (Archibald) Hudson. Mabel loved playing bingo and cards, spending time with her friends, Tim Hortons coffee and her dog, Tazzy. Over the years, Mabel worked as a waitress, as well as at Barbours, Met Mart, the Lotto Booth and in the kitchen at Save Easy and Dandy's.

Mabel is survived by Murray Wheaton; her husband Bill MacDonald, her children: Patty-Jo Wheaton and her companion, Michael Goulette of Sussex and Gordie Wheaton of Surrey, BC; her brothers: Lenny Hudson and his wife Patty of Halifax, Larry Hudson and his wife Angie of Kemptown, NS and Terry Hudson of Bible Hill, NS; her sisters: Sharlene Marshall and her husband Ron of Earltown, NS, Garnita VanTassell and her husband Doug of North Battleford, Sask, Sherry Hudson of Calgary and Lisa Blaire and her husband Randy of Calgary; her grandchildren: Kiersten and Austin; her special friend, Marjorie Northrup; as well as several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends.

Mabel was predeceased by an infant brother, Truman and her brother Ronnie who passed away in 2007. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex, (506-433-1176) where visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9pm .  

A service celebrating Mrs MacDonald’s life will be held from Wallace Community Chapel on Friday, May 01, 2009 at 02:00 pm.
