Obituary of Elizabeth Davis
Mrs. Jean Elizabeth Ann Davis was born in Saint John, NB on April 6, 1944; She was the daughter of the late Arthur MacLean and Jean Elizabeth “Betty” (Macaulay) Ward and the wife of the late George “Sonny” Davis who passed away in March of 2020.
Liz was a force to be reckoned with. She never did anything halfheartedly; whether it was music, shopping, baking, sharing her unwavering faith or being an award-winning mother and grandmother, Liz gave everything she could muster to those around her. She was proof that good things come in small packages and when she was reminded of this saying, her reply was always -Yes, but so does dynamite.
Liz was lucky enough to have many loves in her life; her children, grandchildren, shopping, baking, and music to name a few.
She had a deep love of family – so much so that she married the father of her children twice. Sonny and Liz were a match like no other and they had the best of love stories. How many people can say that they were able to rekindle their first love after so many years. They were able to share their love story with their children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. They made the perfect pair: Sonny loved to eat, Elizabeth loved to cook, and Sonny could open all those pesky jars that Elizabeth just could not manage. They were a force to be reckoned with and a love to aspire for. They are reunited again.
She will live on in the hearts of her children: Kimberly Carhart and her husband Randy and Tamara Mason and her husband Ron; her grandchildren: Courtney Conrad and her husband Gavin, Ryan Carhart, Krystal Ridgway and her husband Chris, Christopher Mason and his wife Jessica; her great grandchildren: Micah, Callie, Jadon, Benjamin, Skylar, Aiden, Andrew, McKenzie and Matthew; her sisters-in-law: Betty, Mary Kay, Shelly and Valerie Ward; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Mrs. Elizabeth Davis of Sussex passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital with her family by her side on April 26, 2021 at the age of 77.
Along with her parents and the love of her life, she is predeceased by her brothers: Arthur, Donald, Bill and Peter and by her second husband, Linwood “Buster” Macumber.
