Dear Aunt Carlene, Carolyn, Dan, Kenny. Lori and families, Thinking of all of you at this time and sending thoughts and prayers. I am so thankful that Uncle Wayne, Aunt Carlene, Carolyn and Dan and Lori were able to attend my zoom birthday gathering in January. It was a wonderful surprise to have them join (thanks Dan, Carolyn and Lori), the best birthday gift ever and I will hold that memory close in my heart. When Uncle Wayne went in for his recent surgery, Carolyn kept me updated with his new phone number, every time it changed and it changed a lot! I am thankful I had a number of wonderful chats with Uncle Wayne these last couple of months. We wish so much that things could be different but we believe he is at peace and watching over all of his beautiful family. He was such a strong man, a true Wood. Rest in Peace, Uncle. Take good care, Aunt Carlene and everyone. Wish we could be home to be with you but since that is not possible, we are holding you all close in our hearts from afar. I am saddened to hear about the loss of Uncle Wayne. Always loved visiting with him and his family both in Oshawa and New Brunswick. I’m so glad my sister Tammy and I had the opportunity to travel to New Brunswick a few years back. Had a lovely visit with Uncle Wayne, Aunt Carlene and Lori. We saw Kenny and Carolyn earlier that same day. It was very hard to leave that day. He will be missed, loved him dearly. He was my connection with my mother Marilyn. Dear Carlene and family, So very sad to learn of Wayne's passing. We knew his health was deteriorating; he had suffered long.
