Obituary of Jim Worden
It is with sadness the family announces the passing of James “Jim” Worden, 61, of Sussex. Born in Dunnville, Ontario, he was a son to the late Carl & Barbara (Nott) Worden.
Jim loved the woods, hunting and fishing. Jim enjoyed trips to Miramichi fishing and boating, but most of all he loved taking part in these activities with his family.
Our thoughts through the Sabina team and the Back River family are with Jim, his family, his loved ones, and all of those that worked with him from across far and wide. He impacted so many of us, and over so many years. He was a true friend and a teammate who’s efforts and accomplishments will forever have a place. We have so many great memories and moments shared in challenge and success, accompanied by his laughter and his joy. He always had a way forward, and always had a way to laugh. He helped us make the Back River a home away from home. He provided us stability and comfort whether we were new to site or old. Jim always had us covered, as co-workers and as friends. He was a great leader of action, and a trainer in what we didn’t know, a mentor to our growing team. He never boasted to be an expert, but for many of us he was. An expert who helped us push together, and keep each other safe. We will truly miss our friend, our teammate who made our site a better place.
Jim is survived and sadly missed by his daughter, Barb (Perry) Worden of Queenstown; his brothers: Bill (Shirley) Worden of Ontario, Michael Worden of Ontario and Tom Worden of Portage Vale; his sisters, Patricia Lucken (late Wayne) of Portage Vale and Pamela (Lorne) Keith of Sussex; his grandchildren, Derrick, Roland, Georgia and Faith as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Jim was predeceased by his brother, Jeff Worden.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex (506-433-1176).
