Obituary of Wilfred Wiggins
Wilfred Wiggins was born in Waterborough on February 18, 1919 to Arnold and Stella (Ferris) Wiggins. On November 26, 1940, Wilfred married the love of his life, Lillian and they set up residence in Waterborough and in 1941 Wilfred joined the Air Force and they moved to St. Thomas, Ontario. During the war years, they also resided in Mont-Joli and St-Jean, Quebec, until Wilfred was assigned overseas. When Wilfred returned from his duties during the war, they built a home in Waterborough and welcomed their daughter, Linda, born August 30, 1947. In the early fifties, they built and operated the Lil-O-Wil restaurant located in Waterborough. During this time they vacationed in Florida through the winter months, often extending the Wiggins hospitality to family and friends.
