Jackie and family, So sad to learn of Dolly’s passing. I remember her hosting afternoon sewing circles where she shared her great talent and love of sewing with ladies from Hillsdale and beyond. Over the years, we would catch up whenever we saw each other, usually in the mall. She was a lovely, kind lady and I send my sincere sympathy to all of your family.

Growing up life sometimes had few things to look forward to at times but sending a week or two with Dolly, Vaughan and Jackie at their home in Hillsdale was one of the things, not only that I looked forward to, but are memories that I cherish to this day. It never seemed like it was an intrusion or imposition for Dolly to have either myself or my sister Elaine there but rather she made us feel like were welcomed. Dolly and Vaughan loved kids and for a couple of weeks in the summers I was lucky enough to feel that love. The last couple of times I saw Dolly she would ask me if I remembered her, yes Dolly I remember you and will cherish those memories for as long as I live. Now, as the song says, "Go rest high on the mountain" and join Vaughan in a better place. Thank-you for all the great memories.
Love always
