Obituary of Barbara Anne Hutton

It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Barbara Anne Hutton at home on Wednesday, August 18, 2021. Barbara was the daughter of the late Harry and Lottie (Loggie) Hutton. Barbara was born on November 20, 1929 at the Moncton General Hospital.

Barbara grew up in Saint John and attended local schools. After graduating from Saint John High School, she took a business course and worked for the Saint John School Board Office for many years. After retiring, Barbara moved to Sussex. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Church and was active in UCW and other church activities.

Barbara enjoyed doing crosswords, gardening, line dancing, knitting beautiful sweaters and was an avid reader.  She also knit hats for the preemies in the neo-natal unit at the SJRH. Barbara was able to remain in her own home until her passing.

Barbara is survived by her brothers; Robert L. (Judy) Hutton, James (Linda) Hutton; nieces: Carolyn (Rod) Arseneault, Margaret (Wayne) Sherwood, Martha Hutton, Pat Hutton; nephews: Bruce (Laurie) Hutton, Andrew (Lisa) Hutton, Peter Hutton, David Hutton, Mark Hutton, Sandy (Susan) Hutton, her special angel care giver, Cathy Thorne, as well as several great nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by her brother William M. (Jan) Hutton and nephew Blake Sherwood.

Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sussex NB (506-433-1176) and will be held privately.
