Obituary of William Mark Hayes
William Mark Hayes was born in Jefferies Corner to Donald and Virginia (Travers) Hayes. Billy worked as a Mechanic and Part Time Driver for Fanjoy's Transport and he was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Sussex Branch #20.
Billy is survived by his mother, Virginia Hayes of Jeffries Corner; his daughter, Marybeth; his son, Marshall; five sisters: Mary-Ellen Webster and her husband Danny of Sussex Corner, Jane Folkins and her husband Harold of Collina, Carolyn LeBlanc and her husband Claude of Sussex Corner, Julie Drummond and her husband Gary of Upperton, Gail Allaby and her husband Phillip of Hanford Brook; eight brothers: Joseph of Jeffries Corner, David and his wife Leslie of Sussex Corner, Peter and Ruth of Smith Creek, Stephen and his wife Joyce of Calgary, Frank and his wife Margaret of Roachville, Paul and Shirley-Ann of Sussex, Robert and Carol Dempster of Sussex and Mark of Jeffries Corner.
Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, Sussex, from where visitation was held.
A Celebration of William’s life was held from St. Francis Xavier RC Church on April 14, 2009 with Fr. Arnie Hachey officiating.
