Bill McKnight was born in Lower Millstream, N.B. in 1923, the son of the late Joseph and Sadie (McAuley) McKnight. He served in the R.C.A.F./C.A.F. for 32 years (1940-1973) in the electronics trade, and 6 years with the Navy in Ottawa. He served in the Canadian north, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Long Island, N.Y., and Germany. Bill was very active in Baptist churches wherever he lived, especially the Lower Millstream United Baptist Church. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion. After retirement in 1979, Bill & Elsie spent winters in Florida and summers in Lower Millstream renovating Bill
